Granny's Kitchen Area Cabinet Installation
Mixed media and digital collage
Variable dimensions
2009

Inspired by the Charlotte Perkins Gilman short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" and Jamaica Kincaid's "Lucy", the Wallpaper series is a multi-part installation that explores issues of one's identity getting lost and obscured through the manipulation of the paper surface. The mixed media works in the series also contemplate the history of domestic and agricultural labor as part of the migrant experience.
