New Works on Paper
Dieu Donné's Process and Practice Recorded Conversation
2024
Since my Dieu Donné residency in 2021-22, I've immersed myself in papermaking, incorporating ingredients from my Grenadian culture and family recipes into textured paper. A process that transforms cherished culinary traditions into multisensory artworks that evoke childhood memories. Each piece is a tangible archive, celebrating the women in my family and symbolizing heirlooms passed down to me. These works narrate a rich history of family migration and memory. You can learn more about my papermaking process through this recorded conversation with Tatiana Ginsberg, the Director of Artistic Projects at Dieu Donné.
